  • Rotterdam venue Cultuurpodium Perron will be closing its doors after four years of parties. Perron is located in central Rotterdam, a short distance from Rotterdam Centraal railway station. Organisers took over the club space with a temporary lease, which they knew would eventually come to an end. Over the years, Perron has hosted international DJ talent on a near-weekly basis, covering a broad selection of house and techno. The club is operated by Révolt, an outfit also responsible for events like Expedition, Nachtduik and Kralingse Bos Festival. They currently have no plans for another club in Rotterdam. There are a number of gigs due to take place before Perron shuts for good. Highlights include Mano Le Tough on March 7th, Ryan Elliott and Vakula on March 14th, Randomer and Leon Vynehall on March 20th, and Octave One on March 27th. Details of a string of farewell parties, taking place April 12th through 19th, are yet to be announced. News of Perron's closure follows renowned Amsterdam club Trouw's departure earlier this year.
