  • Santiago Salazar's Chicanismo is set for release on September 7th. Salazar cut his musical teeth spinning long sets at East LA house parties and bars. He'd eventually relocate to Detroit to study with Mad Mike at UR's Submerge headquarters. Over the past few years, he's worked out of his hometown, launching several labels including Major People, Historia y Violencia (with Silent Servant) and Ican Productions (with Esteban Adame). Santiago established a connection with Pittsburgh Track Authority, the steeltown trio whose Machine Age label group operates Love What You Feel, during a gig at that city's VIA Festival. He previously appeared on a 2013 various artists 12-inch on LWYF and told RA "they (PTA) recently asked me if I'd like to do an album, nobody's ever asked me." Salazar told us the album is about "the whole life experience of being a Chicano in Los Angeles that's into dance music." The album's artwork was designed by Plástica. Tracklist 01. Analog Prayer 02.
