  • The first AIM Festival will take place near Montreal from June 26th through 28th. Art Innovation Movement is a new dance-oriented event that will happen at Carillon Park in St-André-d'Argenteuil—that's just west of Montreal, and home to a famous monument that memorializes the Battle Of Long Sault. The location will feature a campsite and three stages (with over 50 acts due to be announced), and organizers promise a "new, non-pretentious take out on outdoor festivals." The first phase of the lineup is heavy on the house and techno heavyweights, including Tiga, The Martinez Brothers, Kerri Chandler, Wolf + Lamb and DJ Three. Jamie xx is also billed, as is Guy J, while Paranoid London and Chaim will play live. AIM will run from 3 PM through 11 PM on the first night, and then run continuously for 32 hours starting on Saturday at 10 AM through to 6 PM Sunday, which they claim is the longest continuous period any Canadian music festival has been allowed to run.
