The PAN artist will play a few dates beginning next Monday.
Dalglish, AKA Chris Douglas, will play a few dates in California and Arizona starting February 9th.
The shows will act as a showcase for fledgling SF-label Ge-Stell, who released Dalglish's Dorcha Aigeann EP last year. These will be Chris Douglas's first US performances since he decamped to Europe to open for Autechre (as O.S.T.) in 2003. Douglas has cut an interesting path across various scenes since the late '80s—he threw ambient techno parties as a teen in SF before relocating to Detroit, where he worked under the tutelage of James Stinson and "Mad" Mike Banks.
The brief tour begins in San Francisco, where Douglas will play with Ge-Stell labelmate Brandon Nickell as well as Kit Clayton at the Elbo Room. On Sunday the 15th, he's at Complex in LA. Nickell will act as support as will LA experimentalist Matt Sullivan. On Monday, the trip wraps up in Phoenix, where the Ge-Stell crew will meet up with members of Tempe's rising Ascetic House collective, JS Aurelius and Early Tongue.
