  • Adrian Sherwood will release the first LP in a new compilation series called At The Controls on April 6th. Sherwood is a true English pioneer known especially for his dub work through the '80s and '90s. His approach to deconstructing and reconstructing tracks would also help to popularize the idea of the remix, and he's worked with all sort of artists over the years, from Depeche Mode to Nine Inch Nails and Primal Scream. At The Controls Volume highlights Sherwood's "capacity as a DJ and live sound engineer," according to the press release, and is the first part of a new campaign of reissues by his long-running label. The compilation includes tracks he made with The Fall, Prince Far I, The Slits and Shriekback. Check out a teaser video below. More recently, Sherwood has teamed up with dubstep OG Pinch for a full-length collaboration.
