  • LA venue Jewel's Catch One will host an afterparty for the LA Art Book Fair this Saturday, March 31st. The event's organizers, concert promoter The Church Off York and arts organizations Printed Matter and Paramount Ranch, have pulled liberally from a number of genres for the two-stage lineup. The festivities will be headlined by Warp act Future Brown and the Chicago rapper Tink, who guested on the supergroup's first single, "Wanna Party". Grime producer Visionist is also booked to play. The DFA's Juan MacLean is the straightest dance act on the bill and has been touring heavily in support of his recent In A Dream LP. Murky dub pop act Peaking Lights is also booked for a DJ set, while M. Geddes Gengras and D/P/I will play live. The latter two participated in the LA-meets-Jamaica project Duppy Gun Productions, recently released by Stones Throw. Awesome Tapes From Africa, beat scene vet Daedelus and a host of locals round out the bill. The third annual Printed Matter LA Art Book Fair takes place this weekend at The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA in Downtown LA. A number of bands and DJs are scheduled to appear at the main event as well.
