- The Detroit producer's seminal 1993 EP on Trance Fusion is getting a second life next month.
Anthony 'Shake' Shakir's Club Scam EP will get a new pressing on February 2nd.
The 12-inch originally came out in 1993 on Trance Fusion, a subsidiary of Kevin Saunderson's KMS label (who have given their blessing to the reissue). Club Scam, made under the Detroiter's Shake alias, was one of Shakir's first releases along with the 5% Solution EP on Metroplex the same year. The four-tracker comes with two versions of "That's What I Want," which features a prominent B-52s sample, along with two more reflective numbers. You can listen to the A1 cut below. None of the songs appeared on Shakir's career-spanning Frictionalism retrospective back in 2010.
