  • Techno fans in Brisbane are in for a treat on the Australia Day long weekend with Tetchnoteque. Headlining the bill for the party is Kazu Kimura who will be playing using Final Scratch (as pioneered by techno DJ Richie Hawtin), for the first time in Brisbane. Melbourne live techno act Bubble and Squeak will also be performing, alongside local DJs, Anthony Miller, Placid Russ and Pete Weise. You can also catch performance art by Mistress Mandarella during the night. The party is also fundraiser for local public radio station 4ZZZ. Tetchnoteque takes place on Saturday 25 January at The Underground Bar, Elephant & Wheelbarrow, 230 Wickham St, Fortitude Valley. Entry is $10 or $8 4ZzZ subscribers and the party will run from 9pm until 3am. Be there to get a fix of deep drivin' funky techno and electro from some of Brisbane's best DJs, and witness the magic of Final Scratch!
