We round up the top parties to hit this New Year's in Melbourne.
The party calendar's busiest 48-hour block is fast approaching and a number of quality gig options are on the cards for Melbourne dancers this New Year's period.
Disco and house are the prime flavour for club shows on December 31st, with three veterans passing through to spin in three different locations. Chicago great Sadar Bahar will be making his Australian debut at The Toff In Town with The House De Frost's Andee Frost and Strictly Vinyl's J'Nett and Jimmy James bringing some Soul In The Hole, while John Morales will be bringing the NYC disco spirit to OneSixOne with the Bionic Boogie All-Stars. Greg Wilson will also be working the reel-to-reel at Little & Olver in Fitzroy for Warehouse NYE.
2015 begins on a high with Let Them Eat Cake's third year at Werribee Park on January 1st—we'll be hosting the main stage with KiNK, Carl Craig, Midland and plenty more from 11 AM. Back in the city, at Mycelium Studios, Animals Dancing will also be spending the afternoon with Alfredo, Maxmillion Dunbar and Pender Street Steppers, then later that night at New Guernica it'll be Derrick Carter stepping up to guest at The Selectors.
