- The new label debuted with a 12-inch from the L.I.E.S. associate this week.
Marcos Cabral is behind the first EP on the new Duffer Room imprint.
Based out of New York, the label promises that Moving is the first in a series of digital releases, followed by a move into vinyl and merchandise sometime next year. That initial EP comes from Cabral, a longtime New York artist who makes disco as one half of Runaway and whose solo work has seen increasing attention thanks to a series of releases on L.I.E.S. (He also had two EPs as Chemotex on The Trilogy Tapes this year.) There's not much other info on Duffer Room at the moment, but the two tracks on Moving look to continue Cabral's streak of raw, lo-fi house.
