L.I.E.S. will release new music from DJ Deep and Jahiliyya Fields early next year.
Rebeval marks the debut of French producer DJ Deep—real name Cyril Etienne des Rosaies—on Ron Morelli's imprint, and it's also the first release under the Rebeval alias. Named after the street where des Rosaies once hosted a radio show in the mid-'90s, he was inspired by the reaction to an old mix from the show he posted on SoundCloud. Specifically motivated by a comment from Morelli (who calls Paris home these days), DJ Deep decided to go into the studio to write "tracks with this feeling in mind." The label says that the three-tracker "balances the sounds and energy of the past and renewed vibrance and resurgence of what's happening now in Paris."
There's also a new album called Chance Life Moon Dance from Jahiliyya Fields. It's first new material from the producer since 2013's Pleasure Sentence EP, but information on that one is a little more scarce.
