- Kai Hugo's next LP will drop in March 2015.
Beats In Space Records will release Palmbomen II's self-titled album on March 3rd, 2015.
Palmbomen, AKA Holland-born producer Kai Hugo, has started the Palmbomen II alias as a hermetic studio counterpart to his main project's collaborative sound. Hugo, who recently moved to LA, made the album while holed up at his mother's house in the Netherlands. Describing his hardware reliant approach, he says: "Program the rhythms, arrange the harmonies, play these together, and record to tape. That's it." The record is said to bear the influence of his mother's attic and a continuing X-Files obsession.
Beats In Space founder Tim Sweeney is in the midst of celebrating the 15th anniversary of his radio show. RA's Bruce Tantum profiled Sweeney last month.
