Dasha Rush will release her next album, Sleepstep, on March 2nd via Raster-Noton.
Sleepstep is Dasha Rush's third full-length—the first came out through her own Fullpanda label in 2007, while the second, I Run Iron I Run Ironic, arrived two years later. Raster-Noton say the album's subtitle—"Sonar poems for my sleepless friends"—hints at the overall mood of the record, which it describes as "a trip through electronically alienated microcompositions and sound collages that, interwoven with text passages, aim at creating a dream-like atmosphere."
Though the tracklist is yet to be revealed, we do know Sleepstep will be presented on CD and double-vinyl formats. The CD version comes with a 32-page booklet that includes Rush's own photos and poetry.
