  • California's Absurd Recordings—and its sublabel Acid Test—has announced plans for a remixes record to follow on from Achterbahn D'Amour's Odd Movements LP. Achterbahn D'Amour, the duo of Iron Curtis and Edit Piafra, are a fixture on Absurd and Acid Test, where they put out three EPs in recent years on the way to the release of Odd Movements, their debut album, back in January. Next, they'll see tracks from the album remixed by a group of four wide-ranging international artists. Detroit's Marcellus Pittman has submitted a nearly nine minute-long take on "Holy Romance Empire," and another veteran stateside talent, Convextion, has reworked "Passagen." Italian producer Chevel has contributed a remix of the title track, and a remix of "Königstraße" will come from SW., a member of Berlin's well-regarded SUED label crew. Odd Movements The Remixes will be released in January. For now, if you're in need of a 303 fix, tune in to last week's RA podcast from Tin Man, another Absurd and Acid Test affiliate. Tracklist A1 Holy Romance Empire (Marcellus Pittman Remix) A2 Odd Movements (Chevel Remix) B1 Passagen (Convextion Remix) B2 Königstraße (SW. Remix) Absurd Recordings and Acid Test will release Odd Movements The Remixes on January 15th, 2015.
