Caribou headlines Field Day 2015

- Initial names have been revealed for the London festival, with Ben Klock, Andrew Weatherall and SOPHIE all on the bill.
- Field Day has announced the first wave of acts playing its 2015 edition, which will take place across June 6th and 7th. The two-day event returns to East London's Victoria Park for its ninth edition next summer. As usual, the Saturday will cater to dance music fans, while the Sunday carries more of a rock and indie-lean. Field Day regulars Caribou have been confirmed as Saturday headliners, joined by Nina Kraviz, Clark, Chet Faker, Ten Walls, SOPHIE and Madlib, who will DJ. Two back-to-back sets have also been locked in: Ben Klock and Marcel Dettmann will spin together, as will Daniel Avery and Andrew Weatherall. Veering slightly more leftfield, there are Saturday slots for London four-piece Django Django, Ethiopian keyboardist Hailu Mergia, Colombian singer Tei Shi and Phantasy Sound artist Ghost Culture. Fewer acts will play on Sunday, with British shoegaze band Ride, New Jersey outfit Ducktails and Patti Smith among those booked. Alongside her band, Smith will perform her seminal 1975 album Horses in full. Many more names will be added to the lineup in the coming months.
