The Berlin-based expat will return to his native shores for seven gigs this month and early next.
Derek Plaslaiko has seven US appearances on the schedule for the coming weeks.
The well-loved Michigan native and current Berlin resident—who played a rather remarkable 12-hour set on Boiler Room back in August—will be winding down this year and jumping into next with bookings across the country. He'll first swing through Pittsburgh this Friday for an all-night set at Hot Mass, and Saturday has him returning to Detroit to play Life On Mars, an Interdimensional Transmissions event also featuring BMG and Erika (Plaslaiko teamed up with BMG for a record, their second joint release, on the IT label earlier this year). Next weekend, he'll be Planet Chicago's guest at Windy City spot Smart Bar on the 12th, and then he'll hit Denver for a set in the lounge at Beta.
After a quick trip to Europe for a gig, Plaslaiko will finish 2014 with Housepitality's New Years Eve party at F8 in San Francisco, also featuring Circus Company fixture Dave Aju, who'll be the emcee for the night, along with residents Tyrel Williams and Bai-ee spinning together as Secret Studio. Friday, January 2nd has him confirmed for Focus at Washington DC club Flash, and the next night, finishing off his US touring for now, he'll link up with The Bunker—a longtime resident at the party, he continues to play there often when he's stateside—for their twelve-year, three-room anniversary event at Output, where DBX (Daniel Bell, performing live), Rrose and John Tejada are also on the lengthy lineup.
Tickets to Planet Chicago, Focus in DC and The Bunker in Brooklyn are available on RA.
