  • The Berkeley Art Museum will host Terry Riley at the closing session for their L@TE event series on Friday, December 5th. Riley is recognized as one of the forefathers of minimalist and contemporary classical music, and is best known for his 1964 composition, In C, which was re-recorded and re-released in 2010 by Ghostly International. For this concert he'll be accompanied by his son, composer and guitarist Gyan Riley, closing out a season that also saw performances from Devendra Banhart and The Pharaohs. Avant-garde pioneer Pauline Oliveros—a longtime collaborator of Riley's—is also scheduled to play the series on November 21st.
