- Pixel Wave Embrace will see release in November.
Local Action newcomer Yamaneko will release his first album on November 24th.
The London artist has been lurking around the UK grime scene for the last year alongside like-minded producers such as Mumdance and Logos, but the label claims that "there are no samples from grime records here." Instead, Pixel Wave Embrace deals with odd samples, heavily manipulated and processed, and is equally influenced by "his love of new age and meditational cassettes." The album was even conceived of as a cassette, and it'll mark Local Action's first foray into that release format. The water-obsessed record is part of a trilogy from Yamaneko, which started with this year's Pixel Juice Mix and will continue with the Healing Spa Session, set to land sometime before Pixel Wave Embrace does. Check out LP track "Noises In The Wave Wires Like The Kissing Of The Sea" below.
