  • Twitter has announced a new service called the Twitter Audio Card. The new feature is designed for use on Android and iOS8 mobile applications, and will allow users to stream music in-app with a single tap and also keep listening without having to leave the timeline. The service will use third-party streaming platforms rather than a native Twitter interface—SoundCloud is the first announced streaming "partner," with more promised in the future. The Twitter Audio Card is being launched in collaboration with a number of media and artistic partnerships offering podcasts, mixes and exclusive music, including Pitchfork, NPR and Deadmau5, according to FACT. For more on Twitter's new service and a complete list of partners, check their official statement.
