Blkmarket Membership comes to Smart Bar

- Taimur & Fahad will share the decks in Chicago later this month.
- Chicago hotspot Smart Bar will host Taimur & Fahad, the minds behind New York's Blkmarket Membership party, on Friday, October 17th. The two DJs are scene fixtures, having been involved in countless events around New York since they started Blkmarket Membership back in 2006. Their bookings read like a who's-who of global techno and house talent, with Ellen Allien, Deadbeat, Thugfucker and George Fitzgerald among their recent guests. As residents, Taimur & Fahad have gained a reputation for sets geared towards the deeper side of dance music. (And they've earned themselves international bookings at top clubs in Berlin and Amsterdam, among others.) They've played Chicago previously, but this is only the second time they've been billed to DJ together in the Windy City. On the local side of the lineup is another pair of DJs, Max Jacobson and Mantas Steles, who also throw their own party, Tied. In fact, it looks like that weekend will be a long one for Tied: with Ari Frank also on hand, they'll celebrate two years of operation with an anniversary party the next evening, Saturday the 18th, headlined by Perlon affiliate and Ultrastretch label head Sammy Dee.
