  • Soul Jazz Records has lifted the lid on its next book, which celebrates classic disco sleeves. Disco: An Encyclopaedic Guide To The Cover Art Of Disco Records is a 360-page hardcover book showcasing more than 2000 album covers and 700 12-inch sleeves from the 1970s through to the mid-'80s—and, with the book measuring 12-inches by 12-inches, some are presented in full size. In addition to the record covers, Disco also includes written chapters on everything from the history of 12-inch sleeves, roller disco, "disco instruction albums" and a scrapbook of advertisements. Edited by self-proclaimed disco historian Disco Patrick and Patrick Vogt, the book features an introduction by genre pioneer Tom Moulton and profiles and interviews with the likes of Salsoul's Ken Cayre, Grace Jones, Cerrone, Casablanca Records and West End Records. Disco is set for release on November 3rd.
