- The Nine Inch Nails member will debut his new project with the Revolver EP later this month.
Alessandro Cortini will release an EP as Skarn on October 14th.
The Italian artist is probably best known as an on-and-off member of Nine Inch Nails (and side project How To Destroy Angels), but he's had quite a varied history, including stints with bands SONOIO and Modwheelmood in addition to solo work. Earlier this summer, he signed to Hospital Productions for an LP called Sonno, and he'll continue his foray into the world of underground electronic music with this EP on Avian under the name Skarn. The label promises that with Revolver, Cortini "take[s] a turn into more technoid driving soundscapes" with "a precise minimalism and a hypnotic drum pattern," as opposed to the more ambient nature of Sonno.
