- The Chicago duo will release an album on Downwards later this year.
Talker have announced a self-titled album for Downwards.
Talker is the joint project of Chicago artists Johnathan Krohn and Karl Meier (who you might know as Sandwell District's Kalon). They appeared on the Downwards' 2013 Halha compilation, and then had a full EP release, Cut The Weight, earlier this year on subsidiary imprint D/N. Now the duo will return to Downwards proper for a full-fledged LP comprising eight new tunes. We don't know a whole lot about the release, other than that it's "coming soon," but judging from the clips, it'll present a journey through Talker's sound, from rumbling ambient to pounding techno to industrial-inflected noise.
