  • Cristian Vogel's next album, Polyphonic Beings, will come out via Shitkatapult on November 14th. The Chilean-born producer lives in Berlin these days, but has previously called Brighton and Barcelona home. Polyphonic Beings is billed as a follow-up to Vogel's 2013 LP Eselsbrücke. Vogel says both albums were inspired by a lecture given by Karlheinz Stockhausen in 1972 called "Four Criteria Of Electronic Music." "When we hear music, we are modified on levels we are not able to perceive—he [Stockhausen] refers to the 'atomic layers of ourselves,'" Vogel says. "It struck me that if indeed we are embodying music so deeply into ourselves, then surely we begin to resemble that music. In some sense, we become what we hear. It is with this idea that Eselsbrücke, my previous album, came to a close and now Polyphonic Beings begins." Tracklist 01. Exclusion Waves 02. McCaw's Ghost 03.
