- Spectrum Spools will release Phobos in November.
Neel has revealed details of his forthcoming album, Phobos.
Italian producer and DJ Giuseppe Tillieci is probably best known as a close associate of Donato Dozzy, who he collaborates with as Voices From The Lake. Phobos, his first solo full-length, encompasses the largely ambient material that Tillieci performed live recently at MUTEK in Montreal and Berlin Atonal.
According to liner notes from Labyrinth festival organizer Russell Moench, the album is loosely based on the idea that Phobos, one of Mars' moons, is destined to eventually collide with its parent planet "in a 50-million year gravitational tease that can only end in destruction." Phobos comprises a continuous 60-minute movement culminating in "a blissful moment" meant to emulate the moon's path. It'll come through Editions Mego sublabel Spectrum Spools.
