LA imprint Private Selection will hold a showcase on September 19th.
The label was conceived by LA producers Arkitect and Dreams. The latter's "Gridbugs" appeared on Bok Bok's RA Podcast, and his track "Bloodsport" popped up on Rustie's Essential Mix back in 2012. Private Selection generally trades in a percussion-heavy sound, influenced by Night Slugs and particularly Fade To Mind associate Total Freedom's wild DJ sets.
The September event will also act as the Los Angeles debut for label act Bodymasters. The analog-focused trio linked up in the CalArts Music Technology program and exclusively perform live. They're due for an EP on Private Selection in 2015. Dreams and Arkitect, meanwhile, just issued an online-only EP comprised of their respective takes on DJ Mujava's "Mugwanti/Sgwejegweje."
