  • The Barbican has announced a Just Jam showcase on December 13th, ten months after City of London police cancelled a planned event with the East London web TV outfit. Back in February, police called off a Just Jam gig at the Barbican, saying they had "concerns based on a number of factors that could compromise the safety of people who planned to attend." Police cited potential overcrowding and the fact that "alcohol would be on sale at an event which would be allowing entry to anyone aged 16 or over"—both issues the Barbican deals with regularly. Now, a Just Jam showcase has been announced for The Barbican Hall on Saturday, December 13th. The lineup features a number of artists who were scheduled to play in February—Syrian singer Omar Souleyman and grime artists JME, Big Narstie and Preditah. RA Sessions duo Mumdance and Novelist have also been billed, while Traxman and Litebulb will lay down some footwork. Tickets to the event go on sale on Friday, September 5th. You can watch Just Jam's teaser video for the event below.
