  • Sensations' Fix, the Italian early electronics outfit led by synth pioneer Franco Falsini, will make their US debut with shows in New York, Oakland and LA. The '70s cult heroes, performing together for the first time since 1981, will share selections from their debut LP, Fragments Of Light, which bridges progressive rock's grandiose songwriting with krautrock rhythms and freeform synthesizer explorations. The three-stop tour follows the release of 2012's Music Is Painting In The Air, RVNG Intl.'s wide-reaching compilation of unreleased Sensations' Fix mixes recorded between 1974 and 1977. The band, who kicked off their tour last week with with gigs in Virginia and North Carolina, will hit New York on Thursday, September 2nd, playing alongside Gavin Russom. Russom says he's planned a one-off "extended synthesizer session" for the night using "hand-built machines." After the New York show, the band will head to Club Leo's in Oakland, where they'll play alongside bands Holy Shit and Melted Toys on Saturday, September 6th. They'll round out the tour with a show at Los Globos in LA on Monday, September 8th, backed by Holy Shit and Devon Williams.
