Hieroglyphic Being touches down in Seattle

- The Chicago house mystic will play the Motor party in September.
- Hieroglyphic Being, AKA Jamal Moss, will play an extended live set at Seattle's Motor party on September 18th. The Mathematics boss just announced his forthcoming full-length, The Seer Of Cosmic Visions, to be released by Planet Mu on October 6th. For that album, he's introducing a new alias, Hieroglyphic Being And The Configurative Or Modular Me Trio, that speaks of Moss's ongoing commitment to Sun Ra-style Afrofuturism. He'll make a stop in the Emerald City on his way up to Vancouver, where he's on the bill of the New Forms Festival. The Seattle night is presented by the Motor label and collective, which describes itself as "an emerging movement of Pacific Northwest underground techno." They've demonstrated a commitment to the outer reaches of dance music with their club bookings, having hosted Container, Powell and Pete Swanson in recent months. Patternmaster and AOS will round out the bill on the 18th.
