  • Roger Semsroth (AKA Sleeparchive) will return to his lesser-known Skanfrom alias for a new album called Postcards on Suction Records. Semsroth is one of Berlin techno's key figures. He emerged in the mid-'00s with a flurry of self-released 12-inches, showcasing a stripped-back, futuristic aesthetic that's still a firm favourite of DJs worldwide. He's kept up a steady presence on the production front since, all while playing regular live dates and working at Hard Wax. Semsroth's material as Skanfrom is more retro-leaning than his techno output, with a pop and new wave-indebted sound more suited to home stereos than clubs. Postcards will be available both digitally and on vinyl. No exact release date has been announced, though Suction Records has stated that it will come out "mid-September or later." Album cut "Perseids Over Greenwich" is streaming below.
