- The soundtrack-inspired album will arrive in October.
Dollkraut will release his debut full-length, Schimanski's Black Lullabies, via THE GYM on October 20th.
The analog-obsessed producer has put out a handful of releases on labels such as Doppelschall and Sound Architecture in recent years, and scored a niche dancefloor hit with 2010's "Loot". His track "Rollercoaster" appeared on Brandt Brauer Frick's DJ-Kicks compilation, released earlier this year. He runs THE GYM with the German trio, and the new album should fit nicely alongside adventurous material by Max Graef and Nina Kraviz.
The LP is inspired by both mainstream and obscure film scores from the '60s, '70s and '80s, and its loose dance sound has also has a bit in common with Liverpool post-punk haunts Clinic. Schimanski's Black Lullabies track "Fire" was recently released on a 12-inch with several remixes.
