  • Locust has a new record, After The Rain, scheduled for release in October. The album marks another connection between Locust—the project from veteran ambient artist and former Seefeel member Mark Van Hoen and recent addition Louis Sherman—and Editions Mego, following on from last year's You'll Be Safe Forever LP. Van Hoen has appeared on the Austrian imprint under his own name as well with 2012's The Revenant Diary. This one, dedicated to the recently passed New York musician Hajji Majer, looks to be a more melodic work informed by Van Hoen's love of '70s electronic music. It's also described by the label as "embracing female identity," with vocal contributions from Celeste Griffin, Candace Miller and Julie Manescau?. After The Rain will come in vinyl, CD and digital formats. You can get an early peek into how the album sounds with a full stream of "I'll Be There" courtesy of Editions Mego's SoundCloud page.
