He'll hit the road in the fall to promote his new LP, The Light Brigade.
West Coast beat scene pioneer Daedelus has announced a US fall tour in support of his new album The Light Brigade.
His forthcoming LP, out September 29th, will see him returning to Flying Lotus' Brainfeeder imprint, following releases on Ninja Tune, Anticon and Alpha Pup Records. The album, which is conceptually based on the Crimean War of 1853-56, is his first Brainfeeder drop since 2010's Righteous Fists of Fury, another historical effort that re-interprets the story of China's Boxer Rebellion.
Daedelus will criss-cross the US with his energetic live show in the fall, starting with a San Antonio gig on September 18th at Arneson River Theater, followed by an event at Downstairs Fifty Seven in LA on the 30th and an October 2nd appearance at Chicago's Concord Music Hall.
He'll hit Minneapolis' Triple Rock Social Club on the 3rd, then head to Pomona College in Claremont, California on the 11th, followed by a gig at Cervantes' in Denver on the 16th. Next up is the Brighton Music Hall in Boston on the 17th, Brooklyn's Villain on the 18th and DC's U Street Music Hall on the 19th.
After that he'll travel back out West for stops at San Diego's Soda Bar on October 23rd, Flagstaff's Green Room in Arizona on the 24th and Harvest Festival in Santa Monica on the 25th. The tour will wrap with an October 31st show at Atlanta's Kingdom Rave, and then two final appearances a week later, at Mezzanine in SF on November 7th and The Depot in Salt Lake City on November 8th.
