  • Kevin Drumm will release a new LP on Editions Mego on October 13th. Drumm is a prolific American-born artist and composer whose work usually sits at the crossroads between noise and drone. He's known for music that can be incredibly abrasive (2002's Sheer Hellish Miasma) or more soothing and dulcet (2008's Imperial Distortion). He's been releasing on Peter Rehberg's Editions Mego (and it predecessor, Mego) since the early '00s, and his latest effort for the label, Trouble, is reportedly one of his "quietest" records yet. The press release goes on to describe the 54-minute, single-track LP as "neither ambient nor drone but a more complex investigation into the deep recesses of sound." Listen to an excerpt below.
