  • DARKSIDE have announced what they claim to be their last show, taking place in New York on September 12th. Nicolas Jaar started working with partner Dave Harrington under the DARKSIDE banner back in 2011, before duo released their well-received debut album Psychic and began a steady year of touring in its aftermath. Now, according to a tweet from the band's official page, Darkside is "coming to an end, for now." Whether that means a breakup or just a hiatus is still unclear. The final gig, presented by Le Poisson Rouge, will happen at the Brooklyn Masonic Hall, with support from Valentin Stip, who is signed to Jaar's Other People label. DARKSIDE have also offered up streams of two new tracks taken from the Psychic sessions, which will see release on Other People's upcoming Work compilation. Check out "What They Say" and the prophetically-titled "Gone To Soon" below (via Pitchfork). You can also watch a video of DARKSIDE performing live for RA Sessions here.
