Full details of Flying Lotus's fifth album, You're Dead, have been revealed.
The producer has rolled out track-by-track details of the album this week on his Tumblr page. Each track has been accompanied by an illustration by Japanese artist Shintaro Kago (check them out here.) The list of collaborators includes Herbie Hancock, Kendrick Lamar, Snoop Dogg, Thundercat, Dirty Projectors' Angel Deradoorian, Niki Randa and FlyLo himself as Captain Murphy.
"The album isn't about the end, it's really the beginning," says Flying Lotus. "It's a celebration of the next experience. It's the transition and the confusion. It's not 'hey you're dead.' It's, 'hey you’re dead!"
The album lands on October 6th (October 7th in the US) via Warp Records. It'll be available on CD, digital and double gatefold vinyl formats. There will also be a vinyl boxset that includes instrumental versions of the tracks on You're Dead. You can watch an album trailer below.
