  • Beserktown, a three-day festival running the stylistic gamut from noise to techno, will take place at Los Globos on August 15th through 17th. The festival acts as a clearinghouse for challenging acts, filling two stages over the weekend. On night one, Pete Swanson headlines the smaller room, supported by noise veterans Aaron Dilloway, Haters and more. The larger stage will be headlined by psychedelic punks Chrome and newer acts like Destruction Unit. Providence noise techno artist Container headlines the second stage on night two. He's supported by fellow Spectrum Spools act Unicorn Hard-On. Sacred Bones noise artist Pharmakon plays the main stage Saturday, fresh off some dates with Michael Gira's Swans. Punk bands Hoax and The Zeros are also scheduled to play Saturday. The festival's final night abandons any semblance of 4/4 sounds, but long-running Michigan act Wolf Eyes will bring their immolating electro-acoustic sound to the bill. Hardcore punk bands Iron Lung and Final Conflict close out the fest. Check out RA's Breaking Through feature on Container while preparing for the weekend.
