Madlib added to New Forms 14

- The Vancouver festival has announced more names for its 2014 edition going down this September.
- New Forms 14 has announced a grip of more acts for its next instalment, taking place from September 18th through 21st in Vancouver. The long-running Vancouver festival—now in its 15th year—announced its initial lineup earlier this summer, featuring acts like Hieroglyphic Being, Oneohtrix Point Never and Scratcha DVA. They've now added a handful of new artists to the bill, not the least of which is legendary hip-hop beatsmith Madlib, known for his instrumental material and production work for a long list of MCs (including MF Doom). Among other new additions are visual artist Jesse Kanda (who will support Arca during his performance), Canadian audiovisual performer Clinker, synth heads Davachi / Smith and American video manipulator Nate Boyce. For 2014, New Forms will take over the Science World exhibition centre on the banks of False Creek for one of its most unusual venues yet. As usual, the festival features a mix of conference-style daytime programming, nighttime dance parties and an outdoor event on Sunday afternoon as well. Tickets are available here on RA.
