  • Ryo Murakami will visit Melbourne in August to play his first Australian show. The Panrecords boss has been releasing a range of deep house, minimal, ambient and experimental techno for the best part of a decade, with the latter being fully explored in his 2013 debut album, Depth Of Decay. His Melbourne appearance will see Murakami performing the material live, recreating the album's emotive soundscapes in an hour-long set. Newly established promotion outfit Eighty Nine will be hosting the night at The Mercat Basement, with support from Brodie and resident DJs Myn and Victor Lamont. The event kicks off at 10 PM on August 8th and tickets are available here on RA. Check out a live recording of Ryo Murakami for TEA to get an idea of what's in store.
