The Berlin-based DJ will board a boat for this year's edition of the party, as part of his next set of North American gigs.
Konrad Black is the MVP for this year's Varsity Allstars party in Chicago, happening Sunday, August 24th.
This will be the eighth annual VAS event, which alias. has previously thrown during the day at a few spots in the city (primarily Moretti's) with guests like Danny Howells, Lee Burridge and Junction SM. Since those venues can no longer have outdoor sound, the team has decided to suit up and set sail on the Anita Dee II yacht. Headlining honors for the occasion will go to Black, the Berlin-based DJ making his first Chicago appearance in close to four years.
Varsity Allstar regular Dory will be on hand as well, along with RJ Pickens, Ari Frank, Hummingbird, Funk Shui and MAC. Departure is at 5:30 PM, and the boat will return at 10 PM. As usual for the party, those hopping on board are encouraged to come dressed in their favorite sports attire. It's a presale-only event, and tickets are available here on RA.
Black's Chicago booking will be the last on a five-stop August tour of the US and Mexico. On Friday the 15th he'll play in Brooklyn, and the next day has him appearing at Baja Dream Festival in Baja California (Thugfucker and Inxec will also play that one). Black will then hit Miami on the 22nd and New Orleans on the 23rd, the day before Varsity Allstars. Tickets to the Brooklyn and Miami shows can also be found on RA.
