- Morphosis's label will release the Iran-based producer's fourth full-length.
Morphosis's Morphine Records has an album from Sote in the works.
Real name Ata Ebtekar, Sote was raised in Hamburg but currently lives in Tehran. Ebtekar has been making music for more than 20 years, and released an album for Warp Records in 1992 called Electric Deaf. He's also appeared on other leftfield-leaning labels like Sub Rosa and Digitalis. In keeping with Morphine's MO, Architectonic is an abstract record, with seven tracks of complex modular arrangements. The label says listeners should expect "interwoven patterns and complex ornaments" that result in "loop-based, trance-inducing music."
