  • Heavyweight soundscape artists Ben Frost and Tim Hecker will co-headline Los Angeles club Los Globos on October 28th. Frost's visit to the states comes after the May release of his latest LP, Aurora, which we rated highly. In addition to the Los Angeles show, he'll be performing in Cincinnati, Montreal, Quebec City and San Francisco. The sound artist regularly works with ambient forefather Brian Eno and the Bedroom Community label and collective. Hecker, meanwhile, enlisted Frost along with Bedroom-affiliated musicians Nico Muhly, Valgeir Sigurðsson and Paul Corley, to assist with the recording of his 2013 album Virgins. The veteran Canadian drone merchant currently resides in LA and will play a number of North American and European festivals leading up to the October date. He recently released the online-only single "Amps, Drugs, Mellotron" via the Adult Swim Singles Club. Hecker and Frost will co-headline the Los Angeles date, supported by Pete Swanson, a Brooklyn musician whose techno-inflected noise sees him sharing bills with everyone from Wolf Eyes to Regis. Check out Tim Hecker's single, "Amps, Drugs, Mellotron," below.
