- Dâm-Funk will play a free afterparty for the vinyl-centric affair.
- Discogs and LA-based label Grimy will present a record fair and free afterparty in Portland on Saturday, August 23rd. The White Owl Social Club will play host to Crate Diggers, which begins with a fair featuring some of the Pacific Northwest's most renowned dealers and concludes with a DJ bill of notable collectors. Discogs is the main sponsor of the event, and Clinton Street Records, Anthem Records, Little Axe, B-Geist and Christian Peetz will be among the 30-plus dealers present. Shopping will be soundtracked by local DJs throughout the day. The evening programming features vinyl addicts putting their collections to work. Modern funk ambassador Dâm-Funk will headline the afterparty. He'll be joined by Supreme La Rock, who recently selected tracks for Wheedle's Groove: Seattle Funk, Modern Soul & Boogie: Volume II 1972-1987, out now on Light In The Attic. JT Donaldson (Fresh 45s) and Zernell round out the bill.
