  • Peverelist's Punch Drunk label will release its next compilation on September 15th. Though Tom Ford's attention has shifted towards the Livity Sound label, Punch Drunk, the Bristol artist's original imprint (home to many dubstep classics from the likes of Pinch, Guido and Gemmy) is still going strong. Worth The Weight Vol. 2 follows 2010's first volume, a two-disc compilation that surveyed the Bristol dubstep scene's best moments. This time it'll focus exclusively on Punch Drunk, and just those over the past four years (what the press release calls the label's "second era"). It offers "a perfect snapshot of a city in constant flux" according to the label itself, and subtitled From The Edge, it showcases the "direction of mutation and innovation" of the Bristol scene. The 12-track CD collection features previously released selections from Kahn, Bass Clef, Hodge, Ekoplekz and Tessela, as well as a new remix of Peverelist's classic dubstep track "Roll With The Punches" by Kowton. That last one will see release on a separate 12-inch on September 8th alongside a "dub mix" of the same track. Check out clips of the new versions below.
