  • Syncrophone is starting a new subsidiary label called For Those Who Know. The Paris distributor, record store and imprint has built up a strong discography in the last decade, highlighting off-kilter house music from the likes of Theo Parrish, Voiski, Anthony Shakir and, more recently, Joey Anderson, whose 2013 Syncrophone EP Come Behind The Tree was stamped with the RA Recommends seal of approval. Now the label is due to expand into the world of what they call "alternative beat." The first EP doubles as the debut of French producer 1977 with "a bold and subtle blending of ambient textures, deep pads and raw rhythms," doled out with a minimalistic approach to arrangement à la classic Perlon.
