  • Bass Coast has announced details of a new label arm, with its first release out on July 15th. About to enter its sixth year, Bass Coast is an intimate festival set in the BC wilderness (with a current home in the Nicola Valley near Merritt.) There's an emphasis on local Western Canadian talent, though there are no shortage of international headliners either. After announcing this year's lineup—which includes Thugfucker, Graze, dBridge, Bordello, Addison Groove and more—they've now revealed a new record label, which will start with a remix EP from repeat guest Natasha Kmeto. The EP is the end product of a Bass Coast remix contest, where fans and artists were given carte blanche to remix the Portland artist's 2013 album Crisis. Vancouver producers Project Pablo and Ryan Wells both contribute, as do Calgary's Sergio Levels and Slope. The EP will come out digitally. Check out a video of Kmeto playing "Take Out" live at last year's Bass Coast below.
