  • Pan Ambient will head to Portland for their next show, on August 29th. Every year Pan Ambient head, Vancouver's Kuma, hosts an ambient event in a different city, shedding a light on local talent as well as highlighting his own roster. Following last year's turn in LA—and previous editions like a Dim Sum event—they'll descend on Portland for their tenth birthday, playing the city's Alberta Abbey from 7 PM through to 11. Subtitled Music For PDX (a nod to Brian Eno's foundational Music For Airports), Mexican ambient artist and Static Discos boss Fax will headline, along with Gunshae—the duo of Kuma and Lady Eve—while the local contingent will be represented by found sound duo Unrecognizable Now, drone artist No Parades and experimental cellist The OO Ray. Check out a recording of Gunshae's live performance in LA last year below.
