  • Marcel Fengler will spend the first half of July touring the US. Though things have been relatively quiet on the release front for the German DJ and Berghain resident after his debut album Fokus last year—the only thing he's dropped in 2014 being a selection of remixes—his DJing schedule continues apace. Now Fengler is making his first stateside trip of the year, and it's easily his most substantial tour yet, encompassing five dates on both coasts. First up, he'll play As You Like It Party in San Francisco with fellow Berliner Sigha, which will go down on July 3rd at Monarch. He'll be spending Independence Day at Chicago's new Riverwest Festival where his fellow Berghain man Marcel Dettmann is also booked, and then the next day he'll fly back West for a date in LA. That one is a team-up between local techno heads Droid Behavior and Mount Analogue's more experimentally-focused Nuit Noire, and will feature Henning Baer, Milton Bradley and others (full details here). HIs final two dates will bring him back to the Eastern seaboard, first with a July 10th gig at Trade in Miami, and finishing off the next night at Morgan's Pier in Pennsylvania. Check out his recent XLR8R podcast below to get an idea of what he sounds like these days.
Tickets for San Francisco, LA and New York are available on RA.
