Four Tet, Laurent Garnier tapped for Osheaga 2014

- The Montreal festival, taking place in August, has picked a healthy selection of electronic artists this year.
- Osheaga 2014 will happen in Montreal from August 1st through the 3rd. A staple in the city's festival scene, Osheaga takes over the large Parc Jean-Drapeau on Île Sainte-Hélène, just a subway stop from the main island of Montreal. You might recognize the name as the same park that Piknic Electronik uses for their summer parties, and they'll have their own stage at Osheaga each day, beefing up its electronic offerings. International highlights include Four Tet, Shlohmo, Laurent Garnier, SBTRKT, Jon Hopkins, Duke Dumont and Tom Trago. There's a healthy quotient of Canadian artists on the bill too: Ryan Hemsworth, Jacques Greene, Tiga, Cyril Hahn, Kaytranada and Chromeo have all been confirmed. Skrillex, Bro Safari and Chase & Status and The Glitch Mob make up some of the bigger and more EDM-leaning names. Osheaga is typically a rock-heavy festival, there's still plenty of that too, with Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Modest Mouse, Haim, Arctic Monkeys and The Replacements rubbing elbows with more electronic acts such as Cut Copy and CHVRCHES. Rappers Pusha T and Outkast will also play.
