  • DJ Pierre and Spanky will appear in Australia as Phuture for the first time at the end of May. Although the group has gone through a number of incarnations over the past three decades, Pierre and Spanky were two thirds of the original Phuture trio that produced "Acid Tracks," one of acid house's defining tunes, back in 1987. For this visit the pair will be revisiting the movement they helped create, performing their back catalogue live at two shows. On May 30th they land in Sydney for Astral People's Vivid LIVE party at The Studio underneath the Sydney Opera House. Phuture will be joined by Night Slugs bosses Bok Bok and L-Vis 1990 as well as Australian artists Andras Fox, Rainbow Chan and Ben Fester vs Preacha. The following night they head to New Guernica in Melbourne, where support will come from Sleep D, Cleverhands and Jesse Young.
